Course at the Antoine Lacassagne Center, in Nice, France, on March 22, 2004.
An enormous success!

This week-long intensive oncology course, organized by the French-Brazilian Oncology Society, was an enormous success! Fourteen Brazilian physicians participated: 5 radiotherapists, 5 surgeons, 3 oncologists and one researcher. There was close collaboration between the French and Brazilian specialists. The course ran from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. for five consecutive days. The Brazilian surgeons were able to demonstrate their skills and expertise in surgical block, an experience rarely granted in a foreign hospital. Radiation oncologists contributed to the program, participating in all clinical sessions, including those about PET scans and Cyclotron.
Clinical oncologists participated in all breast, sarcoma, lung and digestive system committees. Professor Moise Namer presented new protocols for breast cancer treatments. This young and brilliant investigator is part of the basic science research teams which are carrying out a series of innovative studies. We would like to thank all of those who attended this course. Thanks to your presence, we were able to show the high standards of the Brazilian medicine.
We must also mention the successful social gatherings that were held during the French-Brazilian week, especially the welcome ceremony offered by the city of Nice on March 22nd, the social dinner in Monaco on the 23rd, the Soirée musique party (with live music played by the participants) on the 25th and the good-bye dinner in Nice on the 26th.
